A curious dog has been rescued after falling into an open grave during a funeral, moments before the coffin was set to be lowered. The pooch was heard barking after falling into the grave at the funeral, which took place in Auckland, during the conclusion of the priest's sermon. In footage of the incident posted to social media, a fellow attendee is shown jumping into the grave to hoist the dog out of the grave to safety. It remains unconfirmed whether the dog was motivated by a promise of bones.
